Great American Spaces™ is a product of Lumbermen’s—a leading, employee-owned, U.S. manufacturer and distributor of building materials. Originally developed by Michigan PreStain, this collection of prefinished, solid wood interior planking is the result of the firm’s 25+ years of excellence and innovation in prefinished wood products. After distributing these products in close partnership, Lumbermen’s purchased Michigan PreStain in 2017, expanded the line and rebranded it Great American Spaces. Today, Great American Spaces products are crafted in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the same exacting standards that established their early success in the building supply market.

The Easy BarnWood Collection brings together authentic reproductions of color and texture. Cover entire walls and ceilings, or balance a modern interior with a rustic fireplace surround, backsplash or accent wall to bring instant texture and contrast to any space. Designed to install three times faster than reclaimed wood thanks to uniform sizing and trusted tongue & groove construction.

The historical style of aged shiplap from seafaring vessels without the high cost and environmental hazards of using reclaimed wood. Use it to bring a light and airy beauty to walls, ceilings, wainscoting, accent walls, fireplace surrounds, backsplashes and more. The prefinished ShipLap Collection is rough-hewn planking with a characteristic 1/8 in nickel-gap between the boards which faithfully recreates the look and feel of authentic shiplap.

For modern makeovers and contemporary styling, BrewPub is all about an authentically recreated look, right down to the red bleed that marks the interaction of whiskey with barrel wood in the Whiskey Barrel palette. Six-board tongue & groove bundles are hand-crafted for one-of-a-kind color combinations. Available in customizable blends of color that combine light, medium and dark boards.

Vintage designs are authentically reproduced using solid pine that’s engineered through a multi-step finishing process exclusively by Great American Spaces.
